Note di degustazione
The 2020 Bourgogne Côte d'Or is showing beautifully, wafting from the glass with aromas of raspberries and cherries mingled with hints of petals and spices. Medium to full-bodied, vibrant and fleshy, it's a deep, lively wine with promising structure and back-end grip to sustain bottle age. As I've written before, this cuvée corresponds with the bottling formerly known as "La Croix Blanche," and it derives from well-situated parcels in the communes of Vosne-Romanée and Chambolle-Musigny.

The 2020 Bourgogne Côte d’Or has a winsome bouquet with raspberry coulis and cranberry scents, quite generous and bulging with fruité. The palate is ripe on the entry with slightly tart red fruit, good acidity, tart towards the finish. Keep a second bottle handy, just in case.
50% Chambolle-Musigny, 50% Vosne-Romanée; 14.5% potential alcohol. Cask sample. Mid cherry; ripe, rich and quite a firm structure for a Bourgogne. (MH)
