The 2021 Bourgogne Rouge has a light nose with tea leaf-infused red berry fruit, open-knit at the moment. The palate is medium-bodied with grainy tannins, quite taut, very approachable in style with a touch of black pepper on the slightly green finish. Fine.

Cask sample. Very pale ruby (the palest wine ever at Grivot?). Red- and black-fruit nose. Sweet fruit with good intensity. Fresh acidity and rounded, sweet finish untroubled by tannins. Digeste and very approachable. (MH)
