Note di degustazione
A blend of 55% Grenache, with the balance a mix of Mourvèdre and Syrah, Senechaux's 2021 Chateauneuf du Pape is a success from this challenging vintage. Matured in a mix of foudres, older wood and concrete tanks, the nose offers up appealing scents of black cherries, black olives and deep plummy fruit. It's full-bodied, soft and easygoing, marked by hints of licorice on the long finish.

Another outstanding wine from this address, the 2021 Châteauneuf Du Pape (55% Grenache, 23% Syrah, and the rest Mourvèdre) has a beautiful perfume of both red and black fruits as well as pretty floral, spicy, Provençal aromas and flavors. It's silky, elegant, and medium-bodied on the palate, with terrific tannins, all making for a rock-solid, satisfying, graceful 2021 that will evolve nicely through 2031.
34% Roussanne, 30% Clairette, 28% Grenache Blanc, 8% Bourboulenc. Matured in stainless-steel tanks (75%) and old barriques (25%) for six months. Tasted blind. Pear-drop and leesy nose. Good fruit, apples, mandarin skin and quite tight on the mid palate. Some good freshness – clean. (AC)
