The 2018 Bourgogne Rouge, which comes from the Volnay appellation on the plain (augmented by a new purchase in 2019), has an attractive blackberry and briar-scented bouquet. The palate is medium-bodied and well balanced with supple tannins and fine acidity. An easygoing and quite juicy red with a touch of piquancy on the finish. Fine.
