Pale. Scented, ripe fruit and then lots of acidity. I mean LOTS! Not nearly ready. (JR)

The 2021 Chardonnay La Hermana is striking. Bright, focused and wonderfully nuanced, the Hermana captures all the personality of Santa Maria, namely that mix of vibrant acids and tropically-leaning flavors. There is an exoticism here that is just compelling.
The 2021 Chardonnay La Hermana has more masculine notes of buttered orange, honeyed mint, hazelnut, and toasted spice, and it's beautiful on the palate, with a focused, racy, vibrant style backed up by rock-solid mid-palate density. It will benefit from a year or two of bottle age and evolve through 2031.
The 2021 Chardonnay La Hermana has pretty aromas of burnt lemon, tarragon, sour cream, matchstick and toast. The medium-bodied palate is satiny and concentrated, its baked apple fruit still youthfully toasty. It is balanced by tangy acidity and finishes with great length and anchoring textural presence.
