Note di degustazione
The 2021 Musigny Grand Cru clearly has some whole cluster influence, which here is proportional to the fruit concentration. Red cherry and strawberry, cracked black pepper and sage. The palate is medium-bodied with finely sculpted tannins and just a splash of balsamic that infused the red berry fruit, dovetailing into quite a peppery and vibrant finish. Great length. A wine to bunker down in your cellar to resist temptation. Tasted blind at the Burgfest tasting.

The 2021 Musigny Grand Cru contains 100% whole bunches like the Bonnes-Mares this year, but they are better assimilated. Red berry fruit, undergrowth and light tobacco scents gently unfold. The palate is medium-bodied with slightly dry tannins, rather spicy, building in the mouth with white pepper touches towards the finish. It's a lovely wine but not a top-drawer Musigny.
