Cask sample. Plenty of warmth on the palate here. Some Gevrey tannin lurking under the surface but there is so much richness and plushness on the palate, it is hard to spot it. Just a tad leafy and grippy to finish. (AWH)

The 2020 Gevrey-Chambertin Les Seuvrées Vieilles Vignes comes across just a soupcon too ripe on the nose, detracting from the delineation it might otherwise have had. The palate is more controlled, chewy on the entry, quite grippy and again, it needs more precision on the rather blunt, liquorice-infused finish.
