2020 Gevrey Chambertin Les Combottes

The 2020 Gevrey-Chambertin 1er Cru Aux Combottes bursts with aromas of red berries, plums, blood orange, sweet spices and burning embers. Medium to full-bodied, velvety and seamless, it's lively and refined, with exquisitely powdery tannins and a long, saline finish. Like the Capita bottling, this new cuvée derives exclusively from vines trained on "paisseaux" (as the Burgundians call the stakes, known as échalas in other regions, that support each individual vine).
