Note di degustazione
The 2020 Côte de Nuits-Villages has a mixture of raspberry preserve, bilberry and light undergrowth scents on the nose that is slightly more backward than the Bourgogne Rouge. The palate is medium-bodied with supple tannins, fresh with blood orange notes complementing the vibrant red fruit on the finish, a dash of black pepper on the aftertaste.

The 2020 Côte de Nuits-Villages wafts from the glass with aromas of cherries, cassis and dark berries, framed by a deft touch of spicy oak. Medium to full-bodied, lively and concentrated, it's deep and sapid, with tangy acids and a long, penetrating finish. As I've written before, if there's a sleeper in the portfolio of this sought-after domaine, this cuvée—from the lieu-dit Queue de Hareng in Brochon—is it.
Cask sample. Mid-deep ruby; a little smokiness, and rich deep sweetness. A tad reduced. Spiciness. (MH)
