The 2001 Campora (Cabernet Sauvignon) spent two years in French oak prior to being bottled. The wine possesses an intriguing profile of super-ripe yet vibrant fruit. Today it comes across as quite primary which might be surprising considering its age, but this is a wine that generally hits its stride between ages eight and twelve or so when the full range of varietal aromas and flavors shows at its fullest. Campora remains one of the handful of Tuscan Cabernets with real personality.
