Note di degustazione
Notes of cherries and berries mingling with rich soil tones and hints of licorice introduce Trapet's 2018 Bourgogne Rouge, a medium to full-bodied, lively wine that's fine-boned and pretty, structured around melting tannins and succulent acids. This derives from holdings in the commune of Gevrey, as well as Gilly-lès-Cîteaux.

The 2018 Bourgogne Rouge had been bottled when I visited in mid-November and is matured in used wood. This needed a little encouragement in the glass, eventually revealing earthy aromas mixed with pressed iris and incense notes. The palate is medium-bodied with fine-grained tannins and quite supple, leading to a bright red cherry and raspberry-tinged finish. This is a very pretty Bourgogne Rouge.
