The 2019 Vosne-Romanée Aux Communes, completely destemmed whereas hitherto there was some stem addition, has a well-defined, focused bouquet of red cherries, strawberry and wilted rose petal scents. The palate is medium-bodied with supple tannins, well-judged acidity and a very composed, quite structured finish that suggests it will easily give a decade’s worth of drinking pleasure.
