The 2019 Coteaux Champenois Cuvée de Croix Courcelles is a very pleasant, easygoing wine. It shows good depth and fine balance. The aromatics are quite pleasing. It would be nice to see more depth.

This has aromas of oyster shells, flint, dried lemons, crushed stones, anise and cardamom. Fantastic minerality and precision with hints of spice. Sharp, medium-bodied and complex, with an elegant and lengthy finish. So much packed into this, with only 10.5% alcohol. 100% chardonnay from a 1 ha parcel in Ay, vinified in 100% new barrels. Only 2,000 bottles made. Drink or hold.
