1999 Chateauneuf du Pape

(my sample was not labelled, but this is the estate's special cuvee) Full red. Classic ripe Chateauneuf aromas of redcurrant, cherry, smoked meat, coffee and earth. Lush, fat and sweet, with impressive gamey concentration of flavor. As ripe as this is, it also shows very good vinosity and spine. Finishes long and suave, with very fine tannins.
