Jean-Marc Joblot's 2006s reflect the difficulties of the vintage in the Cote Chalonnaise, with gum-numbing aggressiveness of tannin afflicting a couple of wines despite their fundamental sweetness of fruit, both of which traits seemed to have been accentuated by his penchant for a relatively high percentage of new wood.
