Collaboration between Raj Parr and Marco Pelletier – made by the two of them from Gonet fruit. Label very intricate and looks quite different from the other cuvées. Big and round and really quite rewarding. Very precise, layered filigree finish. (JR)

A collaboration between two sommelier friends and Michel Gonet, the 2016 Rajat Parr & Marco Pelletier Brut Nature Blanc de Blanc Les Compères was disgorged May 2021, and derives from old vines in Mesnil sur Oger lieu-dit Les Hautes Mottes. Offering up aromas of citrus oil, toasted almonds, freshly baked bread, green apple and white flowers, it's medium to full-bodied, pillowy and incisive, with a racy spine of acidity, lovely depth of fruit and a long, electric finish. The vins clairs were fermented in barrel. Watch it unwind with a bit of age on cork.
