Note di degustazione
The nose of the 2020 Carralcoba Albariño is spectacular and made me think of a wine from Jura. This matured in a chestnut foudre; and it's a very oxidative wood, with open pores, and it has given the wine a nutty character, which is lovely. The palate is velvety but with some austerity that I liked, serious and dry. It has 13% alcohol and matured with lees for eight months. 2,100 bottles were produced.

70-year-old vines. Fermented in chestnut foudres of 1,200 litres and then aged for about 8 months in barrels on its fine lees. 2,500 bottles. Tasted blind. It is a freer wine, with a very open nose and a touch of oxidation on the palate that does not allow the fruit to express itself. A profile that reminds me of natural wine. Eulogio is a great winemaker and his projects are a reference in the region, but this vintage 2020 is not ageing as well as others. (FC)
