Note di degustazione
The 2019 Meursault Désirée is immensely appealing, wafting from the glass with notions of mandarin orange, apricot, Meyer lemon, crisp Anjou pear and white flowers. Medium to full-bodied, satiny and layered, it's sensual and enveloping, with lively acids and an expressive, giving profile.

The 2019 Meursault Désirée, which was taken directly from tank, has a much tauter and more defined bouquet compared to the previous vintage. The palate is clean and pure with a dab of ginger on the entry, soft and gentle, offering good energy and clementine and hints of chai tea/walnut toward the finish. Give this 2–3 years in bottle.
12-year-old vines. Tank sample, to be bottled February/March 2021. Clive Coates MW was very dismissive of Désirée’s ageing potential but Dominique has proved he was wrong. Hazelnut cream on the nose. Good mix of tension and lime fruit on the palate. Pretty forward. Early-ripening site and certainly charming. (JR)
