2015 St Aubin En Remilly

The 2015 Saint-Aubin 1er Cru En Remilly is excellent, offering up a pure and unadorned bouquet of crisp green apples, white flowers and crushed chalk that's classic Lamy. On the palate, the wine is medium to full-bodied, stony and saline, with bright, tangy acids and a pure, mineral finish. Right now, it's tight-knit and reserved, so several years' patience is advised.

The 2015 Saint Aubin En Remilly ler Cru has an exotic bouquet for this vineyard, featuring dried mango, hints of lychee and light passion fruit aromas. It is not unattractive but lacks terroir expression. The palate is fresh and spicy on the entry, displaying a fine bead of lively acidity and demonstrating impressive depth. There is more activity and personality in the mouth than on the nose, and the finish fans out with hints of orange peel and a touch of sour lemon.
