The 2021 Château Ferrande Blanc is based on 37% Sémillon, 33% Sauvignon Blanc, and 30% Sauvignon. It's an up-front, tropical, exotic effort with some minty, herbal nuances, medium body, a supple, elegant mouthfeel, and a good finish.

The 2021 Château de Ferrande Blanc has a light nose with lime, white peach and floral scents. The palate is fresh on the entry with fine weight, perhaps missing a bit of nervosité , which means the finish has a pleasant fatness but feels less complex than its peers.
The 2021 Ferrande Blanc is a deep, potent white with real textural intensity—a wine of distinction. Lemon peel, dried flowers, marzipan and herbs are some of the many notes that grace this ample white. There's serious depth and structure here.
In the same qualitative ballpark as the red rendition of the same estate, the 2021 Blanc possesses an elegant, gourmand bouquet with aromas of pear, peach, citrus oil, grapefruit and flowers. Medium-bodied, round and elegant with a lively core of fruit, it’s perfectly tense with a gently fleshy finish that segues into a saline aftertaste. This is a blend of 60% Sauvignon and 40% Sémillon.

Since the négociant Castel purchased this property in 1992, Ch. Ferrande has seen significant expansion and investment. Close to the town of Castres, it covers 98 hectares today, producing both red and white Graves.
