The Cantina Terlano 2019 Alto Adige Terlano Riserva Nova Domus is a blend of 60% Pinot Bianco, 30% Chardonnay and 10% Sauvignon Blanc. The bouquet is layered and rich with orchard fruit and apricot, and of course you also get the dusty mineral notes that so beautifully express the Italian Dolomites. This wine (with 33,000 bottles made) promises a long and interesting bottle evolution.

The 2019 Terlaner Riserva Nova Domus opens slowly in the glass, but is worth the wait, as a delicate mix of pretty spring flowers, wet slate, crushed pear and hints of lime zests waft up from the glass. It’s silky and round in feel. Lifting acidity and minerals energize the expression as savory spices and rich orchard fruits flesh out across the palate. There’s amazing dimension and youthful density here, all in a harmonious state, as the 2019 tapers off lightly structured and with a penetrating citrus intensity that lingers. There’s much more beneath the surface here, which only cellaring with unlock. A stunning Nova Domus. This is a blend of 60% Pinot Bianco, 30% Chardonnay and 10% Sauvignon.
