Note di degustazione
The new proprietary wine, the 2002 Aida, is a 650-case blend of 61% Cabernet Sauvignon and 39% Merlot. A remarkable offering from the Aida’s rocky soils, it is a full-bodied, deep purple-colored effort with a big, sweet nose of creosote, creme de cassis, raspberry, pepper, and a hint of garrigue (similar to the Zinfandel). In the mouth, it is tannic, full-bodied, concentrated, and surprisingly seamless. This wine can be approached now, but promises to evolve nicely for 10-15 years. (Release date 3/06) Tel. A blend of 75% Cabernet Sauvignon and 25% Merlot, the 2002 Proprietary Red Wine offers a significant jump in quality. Its saturated ruby/purple color is accompanied by a sumptuous bouquet of white flowers intermixed with coffee and black fruits, a seamless, medium to full-bodied, voluptuous palate, and a long, pure, layered finish with low acidity as well as ripe tannin. It should drink well for 10-12 years. Tel. (707) 963-9292; Fax (707) 963-7848
