Note di degustazione
There are 630 cases of the 1998 Cabernet Sauvignon, much of which came from the Beckstoffer sector of the To-Kalon Vineyard. Notes of fudge, licorice, earth, and smoke compete with black currants in this medium-bodied wine. The only drawback is some gritty tannin in the finish. Blended with 25% Merlot to give it more texture and plumpness, it is best drunk over the next 7-8 years. Tel. (707) 824-9879; Fax (707) 824-5843

Red-ruby. Bitter cherry, blackberry, creosote and oak spices on the nose. Supple, fruit-driven wine offers tangy flavors of cassis, blackberry and flowers, and good texture. The wine's tannins built with aeration, and the finish turned increasingly oaky.
