Punteggio 92/100 · Da bere 2018-2025, Lisa Perrotti-Brown MW, Wine Advocate, Jul 2018

The 2007 Pinot Noir Bondi Home Ranch is medium ruby-brick in color and has a lovely perfume of kirsch, dried cranberries and dried cherries with hints of faded roses, black tea and dusty soil with a waft of mossy bark. Medium to full-bodied, it provides mouth-filling dried red berries and earthy layers with a velvety texture and uplifting, wonderfully perfumed finish.

Vivid red. Vibrant red and dark berry scents are complicated by white pepper, dried rose and smoky minerals. Impressively fresh strawberry and black raspberry flavors stain the palate, picking up a bitter licorice quality on the back end. Puts on weight with air and finishes with a jolt of smoky Indian spices. This is the most open-knit of the pinots this year.

Martinelli

Martinelli is a Sonoma benchmark for vineyard-designate bottlings—wines built to highlight how strongly a single site can shape Pinot Noir, Chardonnay, Syrah, and Zinfandel. Across the range, the focus stays consistent: small-production bottlings that feel distinctly tied to where they’re grown.
