Just an awesome wine, the 2007 Booker Vineyard Syrah Fracture is smooth and polished with dark fruit, blackberry, spice and graphite aromatics, full body, perfectly ripe fruit, a lush texture and blockbuster finish. This is a full bore red that should drink beautifully over the next 10 years.

(100% syrah) Opaque purple. Sexy aromas of candied dark berries, violet oil, incense and cola. Broad, expansive and sweet, offering lush blackcurrant and blueberry flavors and an exotic note of candied violet. This wine shows noteworthy depth but is almost shockingly energetic, with strong finishing spiciness and mineral cut.
The 2007 Fracture (100% Syrah) is gorgeous. It is a powerful wine with 16.1% alcohol, but none of that shows through the cascade of blackberry, charcoal, subtle smoke, espresso, and pen ink notes. Superb fruit purity along with full-bodied power, and a long, heady finish with no hard edges suggest it will drink well for a decade or more. Booker Vineyard, a 40-acre vineyard planted on limestone soils just west of Highway 101, continues to strut its stuff after its impressive debut in 2005.
