Punteggio 87/100 · Da bere 2024-2033, Jeb Dunnuck, Apr 2024

The 2021 Château Fourcas Dupré has a touch of a wild, feral edge but there's lots to enjoy, and it's complex, medium-bodied, has ripe tannins, and notes of saddle leather, dried herbs, flowers, and spice. It should drink nicely through 2033 or thereabouts.

Wet earth, dried flowers and spicy red plums get the wine moving in the nose. Medium-bodied, soft and filled with sweet, red cherries, red plums and herbs, this superb value wine is really showing well. Drink from 2024-2035.

The 2021 Fourcas Dupré has an attractive nose with vivacious black fruit, hints of graphite and traces of the sea—lovely definition. The palate is medium-bodied with a grainy texture, not a powerful Listrac by any means, yet there is tension and energy. A slight bitterness emerges on the finish with black olive on the aftertaste. Fine.

The 2021 Fourcas Dupré is a gorgeous, fleshy wine. Dark cherry, plum, tobacco, spice, pomegranate, mocha and espresso are front and center. In 2021, Fourcas Dupré offers tons of immediacy and appeal. Best of all, it can be enjoyed with minimal cellaring.
