Jean-Marie Fourrier sources fruit from a plot just next to the Route des Grands Crus with 60-year-old vines. It’s a gorgeous wine – a gear-shift after the Griotte, with intense and exotic fruit. But this is all balanced by a red-berried crunch and freshness, a more serious structure and mineral edge. A little more closed currently, the impressive length hits at great things.

Domaine Fourrier is located in the village of Gevrey-Chambertin. The estate has been run by Jean-Marie Fourrier since 1994, and has rapidly become one of the village’s most fashionable names, known for producing pure and transparent Pinot Noir.
