Note di degustazione
Disgorged in July 2019 with two grams per liter dosage after a decade on the lees, Dehours's Pinot Meunier-based 2008 Extra-Brut Lieu-dit Côtes En Bosses is showing very nicely, unwinding in the glass with aromas of crisp yellow orchard fruit, freshly baked sourdough, citrus oil, blanched almonds and a delicate top note of petrol. Medium to full-bodied, taut and incisive, with fine depth at the core, a racy spine of acidity and a fine, pinpoint mousse, it concludes with a long, penetrating finish. Still tightly wound after disgorgement, this will really reward some time on cork.

The 2008 Extra Brut Côtes en Bosses (magnum) emerges from a northeast-facing parcel in Port-à-Binson planted predominantly to Meunier, with some Pinot Noir and Chardonnay coplanted. Sweet floral, kirsch and spice aromatics are immediately enticing. Brisk, salivating acids confer notable energy throughout. The dense, vinous style is further enhanced by the low dosage of 2 grams per liter. There is plenty to admire in the 2008. I would open it well in advance, if at all possible. Disgorged: July, 2019
