Note di degustazione
Ripe redcurrant and cranberry fruit, stemmy and fragrant with milk chocolate and fresh herbal complexity. Very Pinot, very California – all that pristine fruit, well-handled oak and a long iodine finish. (RH)

Moving to the reds, lots of ripe berry fruits, new leather, dried herbs, and some earthy nuances emerge from the 2019 Pinot Noir Sanford & Benedict Vineyard, a medium-bodied, chiseled, focused Pinot Noir offering medium-bodied richness, present tannins, and good length. It's going to benefit from a couple of years in the cellar, but this terrific, complex, savory Pinot Noir will unquestionably keep for over a decade.
The 2019 Pinot Noir Sanford & Benedict Vineyard Santa Barbara Historic Vineyards Collection shows the more savory side of this site. Cedar, sweet pipe tobacco, licorice, dried herbs and crushed red berry fruit are nicely lifted. This is an especially savory, perfumed expression of S&B Pinot, despite the use of fully destemmed fruit in this bottling.
