NV Bourgogne Blanc Fleurs de Vignes

The "Fleurs de Vignes" combines four different vintages of both regional and village level along with declassified 1er Cru Puligny Montrachet Les Champs Gain making the Fleurs de Vignes a seriously impressive wine - one could even call it "The Ultimate Bourgogne Blanc." Depth, richness, intensity and a pure minerality complement a bright silky mouthfeel - this is a wine that shows beautifully now. The "Hommage à l'An 2000" is likewise a wine that defies the limits of the appellation. It is an assemblage of vintages from the 1990s with the vast majority from the outstanding 1999. Lalou originally blended this to celebrate the turn of the millennium. With the youngest wine in the blend just over 20 years old, this is now beautifully mature, with an elegant balance, rich, structured backbone and incredible complexity. Exceptional, unique and made by some of the best in the business. The result is spectacular – a wine of richness and intensity that punches well above its appellation status and is simply stunning to drink now. A gorgeous insight into the style of this remarkable Burgundian operation. There may be no better drinking white for the summer months, with its expressive nose of baked apple, beeswax, honey-lemon and blossom leading to a rich and expansive palate.
