Punteggio 16.5/20 · Da bere 2021-2027, Jancis Robinson MW, Nov 2020

Bottled. From a 65-year-old parcel at the base of the slope of Aux Fournaux at the junction with Pernand-Vergelesses and Aloxe-Corton that was certified organic in 2014. 90% whole cluster. 13-day cuvaison, no SO2 during vinification, no cap management (no remontage, nor pigeage). 12 months in 300- to 400-litre barrels that are between one and eight years old, so no new oak. Unfined, unfiltered. Transparent garnet. Lovely texture with the finest of tannins with really pure, delicate Pinot fruit plus an undertow of forest floor and true finesse. Such purity but such accessibility! Some will worry that here is a 2019 you feel you could drink tonight. Sweet but not sickly fruit and, after all, there is no shortage of fine tannin on the end.
