Full bottle 1,259 g. Certified HVE. 60% Sauvignon Blanc, 40% Semillon. Fermented and aged in barriques. More herbaceous on the nose than the unoaked Ch de Chantegrive Graves blanc. But more complex on the palate. Satin-textured peachy fruit, with a little bit of delicate citrus-peel oiliness balanced by bright-green, bitter-and-sweet baby-fennel and sweet-cicely herbs. A sweep of gentle but clear, persistent acidity. What's not to love. (TC)

I consistently love this cuvée, and the 2020 Château De Chantegrive Caroline Blanc is no exception. Revealing a light gold hue as well as a great nose of honeyed citrus, white flowers, and bright grapefruit, it's medium-bodied, has a supple, elegant mouthfeel, nicely integrated acidity, and outstanding length. It's another brilliant white from this team that will keep for 2-4 years, if not longer.
The 2020 Chantegrive Cuvée Caroline has a perfumed nose with pressed white flowers, jasmine, chai and light pear scents, quite complex and full of vigor. The palate has a citric edge on the entry, taut and fresh, not a powerful dry white Graves yet with energy and tension. The sliced pear notes come through nicely on the finish. Very fine.
