Note di degustazione
Lalou Bize-Leroy made just two barrels of her 2001 Chambolle-Musigny Les Charmes 1er Cru. Showing just a thin bricking on the rim, the bouquet offers a mixture of red and black fruit on the nose, hints of black truffle, rose petal and orange zest. This has great definition. The palate is medium-bodied with fine tannin, quite savory in style with a dash of black pepper sprinkled over the edgy, slightly meaty finish that shows more maturity than the nose. It is a wonderful Chambolle-Musigny although I would be inclined to drink this now rather than later. 598 bottles produced. Tasted at Carré des Feuillants restaurant in Paris.

Full red-ruby. Deep, sappy aromas of raspberry, blackberry, plum and spicy oak; a bit subdued today but quite pure. Fat but precise and firm, with good vinosity; here the tannins and acids have not yet come into harmony, with the result that this seems less fine than the Beaux-Monts. Finishes firm and youthfully backward but not hard, with lovely sappy persistence.
