Punteggio 94-96/100 · William Kelley, Wine Advocate, Jan 2021

The 2019 Chapelle-Chambertin Grand Cru is another success, wafting from the glass with notes of cherries, spices, coniferous forest floor and dark chocolate. Medium to full-bodied, layered and concentrated, it's deep and serious, with a tightly wound, elegantly muscular profile. As I've observed before, Dugat's vines in Chapelle-Chambertin are located in lieu-dit Les Gémeaux, a site that tends to produce somewhat more structured wines than adjacent lieu-dit La Chapelle.

Punteggio 96-98/100 · Da bere 2024-2045, Neal Martin, Dec 2020

The 2019 Chapelle-Chambertin Grand Cru demonstrates a little more complexity and amplitude compared to the preceding Charmes-Chambertin, offering a mixture of red and black fruit, pressed iris flower and a touch of crushed limestone. This seems to gain intensity with each swirl of the glass. The palate is medium-bodied and richer than the Charmes, with multilayered sweet cassis and Dorset plum fruit, and maybe the most precocious on the finish of Claude Dugat’s 2019s. This is a bit of a femme fatale in the making. Just one-and-a-quarter barrels this year.
