I've always loved this diverse vineyard, which lies just north of Chambolle-Musigny, and the 2019 Bonnes-Mares Grand Cru shows a classic 2019 riper, richer style in its ripe red and black fruits as well as cured meats, dried herbs, and forest, earthy nuances. It has a kiss of background oak, beautiful tannins, and a great finish. As with most of these 2019s from Bernstein, it has the balance and fruit to shine even today, yet there's plenty of underlying structure. Do your best to give bottles 4-5 years if you can; it should have two decades of overall longevity.

On the Chambolle side below de Vogüé. Cask sample. Rich, sweet, intensely floral nose. Lively palate without quite the richness of the Clos de la Roche. Still quite a bit of tannin to degrade. Still edgy. (JR)
