This has the combination of richness, firm structure and excellent concentration that we associate with Bâtard-Montrachet, but here the finish is more elegant with tingling mineral freshness that pulls you back for more. Drink or hold.

Unfurling in the glass with scents of sweet orchard fruit, white flowers and almond paste, the 2019 Marsannay Au Champ Salomon Blanc is medium to full-bodied, bright and chalky, with the most tightly wound, mineral and incisive profile of Audoin's white Marsannay cuvées this year. As usual, it's my favorite of the range.
