Note di degustazione
The 2017 Pinot Noir (Russian River Valley) is a tasty, appellation-level wine to drink now and over the next few years. The floral, lifted style is attractive, although not especially typical of the Russian River. I find the 2017 a bit light and fleeting, even within its peer group.

The 2017 Pinot Noir Sonoma Coast has a pale ruby color and is scented of cranberry sauce, crushed blackberries, rooibos tea leaves, woodsmoke and tree bark with notes of underbrush, tobacco leaf and citrus peel. The palate is medium-bodied, silky and surprisingly concentrated, with layers of earth-tinged fruits and bitters accents supported by grainy tannins and well-woven freshness, finishing very long. This punches above its weight this vintage.
Attractive, wild red cherries and hints of forest wood and fresh, wild mountain herbs. The palate has a very supple and fresh feel with an elegant structure, carrying some smooth, ripe red-cherry flesh. Drink now.
