Note di degustazione
Opening in the glass with notions of raspberries, spices, orange rind and herbs, the 2018 Gevrey-Chambertin Village is medium-bodied, with lively acids, a pretty core of fruit, and powdery, youthfully stringy stem tannins. It should develop nicely in bottle.

Three lieux-dits blended: Croix des Champs, La Justice and Aux Corvées. 50% whole bunches. 20% new oak. Rich nose of baking spice, some fresh earth, dried herbs and ripe, red cherry. A really appealing, slaty, stony minerality on the palate. Plenty of structure but has the depth and length for it. (TJ)
The 2018 Gevrey-Chambertin Village comes from Croix des Champs and La Justice and contains 50% whole bunch. It has a lovely bouquet of joyful black cherry and raspberry fruit with more mineralité than the Volnay Les Echards. The balanced palate supplies crunchy red fruit, a fine bead of acidity and a vibrant, well-structured finish. Excellent.
