Note di degustazione
The 2019 Dauzac is tasted from two bottles, the first slightly corked. The second is well-defined on the nose with blackberry, sous-bois and pencil shaving scents, gaining intensity with aeration. The palate is medium-bodied with supple but firm tannins that frame the pleasingly pure black fruit. Harmonious and velvety smooth towards the finish. This is a finely crafted Margaux that will be irresistible in its youth. Tasted blind at the Southwold annual tasting.

Tasted blind. Second bottle – more-fluid fruit and a gentler texture. Much more Margaux, though with a green, vegetal note on the finish. Clean, brisk finish. (JR)
Mulberries, tobacco, new leather, redcurrants, spicy herbs, and violets all define the bouquet of the 2019 Château Dauzac, a pretty, medium-bodied, remarkably elegant and seamless Margaux with tons to love. It's certainly worth seeking out and is going to cruise for 15-20 years.
The 2019 Dauzac delivers aromas of ripe black fruits, burning embers and petroleum jelly. Full-bodied, rich and fleshy, it's a muscular, extracted style of Margaux, its generous core of fruit framed by ripe acids and an abundance of rich, powdery tannins. Despite its scale, however, it's not especially complex or characterful.
