The 2019 Reynon retains the graphite notes on the classic nose, which is nicely poised with good intensity. The medium-bodied palate features crunchy black fruit and, again, a touch of graphite, leading to a brisk, black-pepper-infused finish. Classy... and perhaps with more to give with bottle age.
The 2019 Reynon is such a huge overachiever. Crushed red berry fruit, cedar, anise, tobacco and licorice give this exuberant Côtes de Cadillac tons of character. The 2019 is a bit more firm than it was en primeur, but it is still quite tasty. It should also be a screaming value.
Full bottle just 1,258 g. The Dubourdieu home farm – see this 2015 article . Transparent purplish crimson. Light, interesting, tobacco-leaf note on the nose. The palate is relatively simple but everything – fruit, acid, tannin and alcohol – is in balance so I would expect this wine to gain in complexity. Just a very slight rusty-nail sensation on the end.
