2017 Nuits St Georges Les Perrieres

The 2017 Nuits Saint-Georges Les Perrières 1er Cru consists of one barrel, completely de-stemmed, the new wood then racked and replaced with used. The bouquet is well defined, featuring red berry fruit laced with orange peel and just a hint of espresso. The well-balanced palate is medium-bodied with sappy red and black fruit; there is still a palpable wood influence toward the candied finish. Give it a couple of years in bottle to fully assimilate.
