Note di degustazione
The 2018 Echézeaux Grand Cru, under Duroché’s négociant label, offers earthy red berry aromas with hints of sloe and fig. The fleshy, ripe palate has an attractive, corpulent entry, moderate acidity and juicy red cherries and strawberry laced with black pepper on the finish. It is no more and no less than a delicious Echézeaux to drink over the next two decades.

10–20% whole bunch. Tank sample but about to be bottled. Dark, ripe and still with a rocky freshness. Lovely depth of fruit but with a lightness of touch thanks to that slightly dry mineral texture. A light herbal and savoury note. Finely dry, almost chalky texture. Elegant and welcoming at the same time. Firm yet filled out with that elegant dark fruit. Real finesse and harmony. Long in fruit. Domaine Duroché has, under Pierre Duroché, become one of the most sought-out and respected wine domaines in Gevrey-Chambertin. The wines are delicate and detailed, yet with old-vine intensity, a clear sense of place and style – and it’s easy to see why they’ve rapidly become so in-demand.
