Full, screwcapped bottle weighs 1,340 g. A blend of wines from the Hautes-Côtes de Beaune and from lesser vineyards around Meursault. Deep greenish straw. Neat and fresh and pure. Creamy texture with a slice of lemon. Just the ticket. Very well made. The only single disadvantage of the wine is that you know it would have cost half as much quite recently. It's also at peak at the moment. I don't think there is much point in keeping it. (JR)

Mainly aged in foudres and some barrels. Pommard, Volnay and some village Monthelie in the blend. Some Hautes-Côtes de Nuits Dames Huguettes (near Vosne-Romanée). Tank sample racked three weeks ago – the final blend. Mid cherry red. Inviting and gorgeous sweet dark-red fruit. Rich and savoury at the same time. Fantastic for a Bourgogne – Leroux thinks Bourgogne and village wines are great in 2018. A little bit of peppery spice, fine tannins and wonderful but not overripe fruit. Gently spiced and chewy on the finish. Should be GV ! (JH)
