Note di degustazione
The 2017 Cabernet Sauvignon Round Pond Vineyard offers lots Cabernet character (and by Napa standards, for not much buck) in its ripe red, blue, and black fruits. It’s a plush, sexy, nicely textured 2017 that’s already hard to resist. More tobacco and leafy herbs notes emerge with time in the glass, it has ripe tannins, and should easily continue drinking nicely for another 15 years.

A new wine in this range, the 2017 Cabernet Sauvignon Round Pond Vineyard is supple, racy and ready to drink. The 2017 has terrific energy in its dark red/purplish berry fruit, but it is a bit compact in feel, as so many wines are in this vintage. I would prefer to drink it on the earlier side.
Deep garnet-purple colored, the 2017 Cabernet Sauvignon Round Pond Vineyard offers fragrant black cherries, warm plums, cassis and licorice scents with hints of cigars and forest floor. The palate is medium to full-bodied, firm and grainy with just enough freshness, juicy black and blue fruits and a spicy finish.
