Note di degustazione
100% Malvasía. Vineyards on volcanic soils with a thick layer of volcanic ash at 350–450 m elevation. Old vines of 70 years ’ age managed with a traditional creeping training system. Short oxidative pre-fermentation maceration using open Canarian pine vats. Spontaneous alcoholic fermentation in stainless-steel vats until the fermentation became stuck. Aged on its lees for 10 months, then bottled and rested for 12 months. Tasted blind. Chamomile, wood, orange peel and toasted walnut. On the palate, it shows a medium sweetness with hints of whisky and generous alcohol. Pleasant and very tasty glass of dessert wine. Herbal notes at the back palate. (FC)

The sweet white 2017 Malvasía Aromática Naturalmente Dulce hadn't been produced since 2013, as the weather conditions didn't allow it. This is a dark amber color and has an amazing nutty nose intermixed with aromas of dry apricots and dry flowers, a honey and beeswax note, like liquid golden raisins and a luscious and dense palate that makes it beautifully textured. It has 15.5% natural alcohol, around 90 grams of sugar and great acidity. Despite being dense, it somehow feels light and doesn't feel too sweet and even has a bitter orange peel twist. With time, the note of dried flowers and pollen seems to grow. This is delicious and should live forever. 1,500-half liter bottles were filled in June 2019.
