2017 Prephylloxera le Vigne di Don Peppino

Very aromatic, but subtle on the nose with crushed stones, roses, walnuts and cranberries. The medium to full body and very grainy tannins seem to be made for the beautiful, sweet-and-sour character that pervades the palate. The finish is drying, but in an amazingly soft and gentle way. So refined and restrained, yet deep and complex. Reminiscent of Grand Cru Burgundy. Drink from 2021.
