The 2017 Sequitur Pinot Noir is maturing gracefully. It has inviting aromas of cranberry, blackberry, lichen, shiitake mushroom and mint. The full-bodied palate offers youthful fruit and is just beginning to reveal more savory character. It’s framed by fine, chalky tannins and bright acidity and has a long, nuanced finish. It hasn’t yet reached a peak.

A very plush, plump and minerally iteration of Sequitur Vineyard pinot, this has intense dark cherries and plums with cool, dark stones and tarry nuances. The palate is very concentrated and smoothly hewn with powerful tannins, cut in sturdy yet supple form with an expansive, powerful, dark-plum finish. Try from 2022, for a decade or more.
