Beautiful blueberries, flint and blueberry pastry on offer here with a dark stony edge. The palate has very supple, smoothly delivered and seamless tannins. The elegance here is the thing. Really strikingly precise. Pure blueberries and plums hold long and fresh. Drink or hold.

From vines planted in 1869, the 2018 From the North Mourvèdre is the darkest of Ochota's bottlings. In contrast to many, it's richly fruited and medium-bodied, with greater volume and texture. Ripe cherries, a creamy, ripe texture despite its modest alcohol (12.8%) and supple tannins make this a winner.
