2016 Todos

Jonata’s Todos is always a kitchen sink blend, and the 2016 is 60% Syrah, 10% Cabernet Franc, 10% Cabernet Sauvignon, 10% Merlot, 5% Petit Verdot, and the rest Petite Sirah and Viognier. It has stunning notes of black currants, crushed violets, liquid rocks, and graphite. This is followed by a full-bodied, beautifully pure, elegant wine that has terrific balance, awesome purity, and a great, great finish. The 2016 Todos is plump, juicy and inviting. Raspberry jam, plum and sweet spices all develop in the glass. Still a bit tightly wound, the 2016 has the potential to develop into a truly intriguing wine. This is an especially vivid, finely sketched edition of Jonata's entry-level red.

The 2016 Todos, Jonata's entry-level red, is fabulous. A dollop of whole clusters adds aromatic nuance to the dark fleshed fruit in this mid-weight Syrah-based red. Naturally, the Todos does not have the intensity or the depth of the top wines in this range, but it is absolutely delicious.
