Punteggio 93/100 · Da bere 2018-2028, William Kelley, Wine Advocate, May 2018

A blend of 50% Syrah, 30% Cabernet Sauvignon and 20% Grenache, the 2015 Fleur de Solène reveals expressive aromas of luscious cassis, cocoa and ripe blackberry. On the palate, it's full-bodied, supple and succulent with juicy acids—despite its lavish, textural attack—and fine-grained, surprisingly chalky structuring tannins. Follow it for the coming decade.

Punteggio 94/100 · Da bere 2023-2031, Josh Raynolds, Nov 2017

(40% new oak) Bright violet. Fresh cherry, blueberry and vanilla on the highly perfumed nose, along with building licorice, tobacco and mocha nuances. Concentrated and alluringly sweet, showing impressive depth to the sweet black and blue fruit, vanilla and spicecake flavors. In a lush, open-knit but lively style, delivering impressive finishing punch, youthful tannins and a suave, lingering floral quality.

A blend of 50% Syrah, 30% Cabernet Sauvignon and 20% Grenache, the 2015 Fleur De Solene from Guillaume is a ripe, sexy wine that shows the more elegant, focused style of the vintage. Possessing full-bodied richness, notable tannin, impeccable balanced and lots of cassis, black raspberry, crushed violet and charcoal aromatics, this beauty will continue drinking nicely for at least a decade. One of the top talents in Paso Robles (which is packed with talent) is unquestionably Guillaume Fabre, who worked at l’Aventure for several years while building his own label, Clos Solene. Guillaume is the talent behind the wines of a number of estate, including Benom (a project with his Brother), Pharaoh Moans and Al Lago, all reviewed in this report. These are quintessential California wines that has incredible textures and purity. Count me as a fan.
